Gary Uftring has been a fixture to central Illinois car buyers for many years, including before he acquired his first dealership in Washington. Mr.Uftring began his automotive career on the wash rack at a small dealership in Minonk, Illinois. Armed with the determination to succeed and the desire to become a top salesman, he took advantage of opportunities as a “fill-in” sales consultant when the store was short-staffed. When he turned 18, the owner of the dealership agreed to let him sell cars full time. Because he was so young, Mr.Uftring focused on exceptional product knowledge and a passion for cars – two traits that serve him well to this day. Over the years, Mr.Uftring has developed and/or acquired multiple dealerships in central Illinois. However, his focus has always remained on great customer service and a commitment to giving back to the community.
Hi, I’m Eric. I grew up in Marquette Heights and now live in Pekin with my wife, son and daughter. In my spare time, I enjoy collecting CDs, records, and coins, as well as building models, reading and spending time outdoors.
Being part of the Uftring Auto Group and supporting the legendary Land Rover brand is an incredible experience. I’m fascinated by how these vehicles continue to push boundaries with their technology and capabilities year after year.

I have 31 years of experience in the automotive industry, and have been with the Uftring Auto Group for 23 years now, the last six of those years with Land Rover Peoria! I enjoy spending time with family and friends after work. More importantly, spoiling and spending time with my granddaughter. I enjoy bowling, especially with my wife, and stock car racing; dirt track and Nextel Cup are our greatest interests.

When I’m not assisting you in finding the vehicle of your dreams, I love to hear the Jaguar engine roar or climb the Land Rover Rock with you. It’s fun – a real high.
